Throughout December and January, although Ango is over, at Treeleaf, we continue to prepare for Jukai, by studying and discussing the bodhisattva precepts together. Our Precept Shuso for December, Bion, will be hosting a weekly Zoom meeting meant to serve as a space to engage live with the reading material assigned for the precepts studied throughout these two months.

The meeting has no specific format and requires no preparation other than having access to the study material. The plan is to simply tackle the assigned readings together and discuss whatever stands out. The goal is not to reach an agreement about fixed interpetations, nor is it to finish reading the study material. The goal is the community discussion itself.

We might want to be able to take notes, should anything resonate enough with us, to then maybe incorporate them into the forum precept discussions.

The Precept Study Meeting will take place on Wednesdays, roughly between 7:30 – 8:30 pm CET, in our Treeleaf Meeting Room, is open to everyone, and is offered at no cost. For local times for this event, please check the Practice Calendar.
