    What do you expect?

    What do you expect?

Do you expect me to have answers? I have more questions now than when I started.

Do you expect me to be an example? What is an example? My mistakes are more instructive than my “successes”

Practice with me because I am flawed, not because I have any inner track on finding “the way” – even if I found it I couldn’t share it with you… no matter how much I wanted to.

Do you look to me for what to do? Who is looking?

What are we doing? Why are we doing it?

I used to rely on myself for practice. Now more than ever I need a Sangha to practice.

I used to like to hear myself talk. Now I listen.

I’m more of a beginner than when I started years ago.

I know less with each passing day.

Each and every one of you teach me, every day.

    What do you expect?

    Deep bows

In this moment expect present action.

    Thanks for impetus!

This is so true, Yugen, and I feel so much the same about my own life. It`s not just the Zen path, it`s the path of remaining very humble. Thank you very much for sharing.

I agree, the longer I am here the more questions, and yet, I have learned to accept that there will be questions. Thanks for the post Yugen.

Thank you so much for this Yugen. "I do not know" has really taken hold during this Ango. What did I expect?

So thankful for this, our Sangha.

Oh, yeah. If I didn't have inner peace, I'd go completely psycho on all you guys all the time.

I'm not sure what I'm doing or where I'm going, but I'm making great time!
If I'm already enlightened why the hell is this so hard?

Thank you for this teaching Yugen.

    BUT, I have one question:

I know less with each passing day.
Does this imply that we all become pure simpletons one day??

    Shokai my dear Brother,

Being a simpleton definitely has its attractions. I may even aspire to "great fool!"

    Many bows to you,
    Yugen

Yes, I'm a simpleton by all extent of the word.

    But somehow that feels right.

    Lots to learn.

Thank you for this teaching, brother.
