    The meaning of the kesa

The amazing article of Bernard Faure on the symbolism of the robe in our Soto school is now available on line. It is the work of a scholar but it contains very precious information...

The first page scared me, as I thought it in French ...

... but I see that it is in English. Merci.

    Can't say it better!
I'm actually working on the sixth panel of the kesa.... it is really a "never ending" process, beautiful really!

Thank you again for Faure's article!

Thank you for this very informative article. Taigu, you are very clear in other places to note that our tradition with Rakusu and Kesa is the Nyoho-e tradition; can you discuss what exactly Nyoho-e is and perhaps point us to some sources for study of this tradition?

    Taigu,

Thank you for the link and I am very much looking forward to reading it, but when I tried to access it last night and again just now I get an error. Since other folks are able to view it it must be a problem on my end, so if anyone else encounters any errors let me know.

And, in a related story, I just attached the first long end of the frame with the first row of stitches. On to the second!
