Curious. What does it say at the bottom? :?:

There is a local store in McAllen (TX) owned by a Chinese couple. It's a store cut literally in half. Half is knick knacks. The other is Buddhist/Feng Shui/Chinese schtuff. They are (I am assuming) Pure Land Buddhists. They have these two big Kwan Yin statues with little shrines around the store along with Feng Shui decorations. Every time I have been there, their CD players is always playing Namo Amituofo chant songs.

They have cheap incense and they do get A LOT of Mexican buyers who during this month (Dec) buy all the Feng Shui schtuff. I mean A LOT. I've been there when folks buy 30 Lucky Soaps and all the Maitreya's they can get. As the owner likes to tell the mexican customers "Bien Poderoso! Bien Poderoso!"
I've always like Kwan Yin.
Kwan Yin, and the ocean. Water of all kinds. Like 'em
