 Hey Jools I can't see the remote control and pizza box on the lap in their diagram, surely an error on their part
Only joking, getting rid of the TV was the best thing I've done in a longtimeMmmm this 'puter might have to be next
Hey Longdog - decluttering your life?, but do you still listen to the radio?
Best wishes

Yeh, radio 2 and 4ops:
Wish I could de-clutter to the camper van at timesOr back to a boat on the river. With the family of course.
WOW! But there's sometihing to be said about that back angle: trying to keep it while sitting on your cushion will keep you really focused on the moment (brief as the moment will be before you hit the floor and get some literal grounding on reality)
That position is _really_ good for your back, but _really_ bad for your neck, unless it's supported.

That's why we have kinhin. A 30 minute sit with a break isn't a big deal.
And what about balance point? There most of the stress is relieved through a centered posture.
I heard someone once say (or I read) "Zazen is anti- gravitational.
At the White Wind Zen Community they sit back about a 16th of an inch from balance point. For that you have to be pretty aware of the body and posture.
