[Ecodharma] Ecosattva Training One Earth Sangha live gatherings

Dear all

These are the dates of the One Earth Sangha live gatherings pertaining to the Ecosattva training (and different to our own group gatherings)

Live Gatherings

To build the sense of a global community among all those registered in the course, we host live Zoom gatherings on a monthly basis. Our kickoff gathering will take place on October 22, 2023 and be open to all. Following that, live gatherings will be held on the second Sunday of each month, November 2023 through May 2024. Whether you have yet to start, are part way through or have completed the course, you’re invited to join. Registered participants receive reminder emails before each gathering with the information on how to join.

So, by my reckoning, the dates for your diary should be:

Sunday 12 May 2024

I cannot find the time of the gatherings but the Ecodharma Explorations usually take place at 11.30 Eastern Time which may be an indication, and that kind of time is inclusive of a timezones ranging from the west coast of America through to eastern Europe.

As regards our own gatherings, would the third Sunday of the month at a similar time (11.30 or 12.00 Eastern) generally work for people?

I would be happy to watch recorded meetings of these times. I have classes on Sundays and Saturdays from 11 to 16 eastern, and generally need an hour before and after.

I thought it might be an issue for you, Nengei. Our own meetings can (subject to everyone's approval) be recorded, and the One Earth Sangha ones usually are also.

Thank you for your conscientious scheduling. Sundays are customarily flexible here but April date i may potentially have a work conflict.

Also May 12 2024 is Mother’s Day, if you think that needs to be taken into account.

B, the dates above are for One Earth Sangha meetings and I have no control over those dates. Hopefully there will be recordings if any of us cannot make particular events.

For our own meetings, I suggest the third Sunday of each month from January through August.

I received an email today indicating the first Live Session is November 12. Though in earlier documentation it stated October as Kokuu lists above. Also I noted in earlier communications that the first session will be recorded but subsequent sessions will not. This may change because I also read in the email today that materials were being updated and we would automatically be registered for updated materials.

If anyone understands this differently please correct me.

- individually reviewing the course materials, then
- meeting to discuss on the dates we set up (which I will watch after because I can't come to the meetings).

Let me know if it is different. I will plan on trying to some written commentary before our group's meetings.

I received notice of access to the first session today. Just so my mud is clear, what we are doing is:

Yes, the meetings won't start until January but you can feel free to watch the material as it comes in (and especially since you can't attend the meetings, Nengei). I may watch it now and then before each session.
