Hi Kokuu, your talk gave me a different perspective on living with chronic illness. I could relate to your examples, and the sun and moon. Thank you for your teaching.

Regained my father, love of mother, Misdiagnosed but now bipolar one, autoimmune Ankylosing Spondylitis and brain trauma, doctors said I would never do much, tenured faculty at 30, Ubasoku, once I was very discouraged, met my loyal wife with MA anthropology, friends, wife objects to priesthood, give up some dreams, get others; published poetry. 2 books one soon. Daughter Fulbright fellowship for PhD, translator of Japanese. my LIFE is bittersweet, level 10 pain, but my wife my is Zennie, She's head of household, 30 year career, I have dreams at 71, friends, gratitude. Jundo, please do not delete. Kokuu, you are still young and look what you already have done. You are an outstanding member of a fine Zendo and a fine Zen Priest with PhD and publications. As a friend let me encourage you, see what I did when "they" told me no, and look what you've done in spite of what "they" told you. PhD in biology this is outstanding, Zen Priest in your 40s Publications, you are a Zen authority, and Haiku expert and great writer and poet, Even oustining employee. Your friends are loyal to a good man with great children, remember they love you, you have friends and you are a friend to many a great friend, a friend in Jundo, friends are worth a million bucks. You really are a great man.

    Tai Shi is unwell,
To live now in what I am,
    Leave Ancient History
Now I look at computer keyboard,
Sigh without all O2 coming into lungs,
    I am feeling tight again,
I sit before another day again
    Not tight from drink, substance
    Gone to chemical balance,
    What will they teach me,
    Moe exercise, recommend
    At home, I will do,
    Had done yesterday,
    Make true right now,
