Right belief is a gate of Dharma illumination; for [with it] we attain the supreme Dharma. (Nishijima/Cross)

Right trust is a gate of realizing dharma; it leads to attaining the most excellent dharma. (Tanahashi)

May we, together with all buddhas;
Actualize Right Belief
That we may attain the supreme Dharma

Grows with trust, its sturdy vine.
Together, these two never part,
In life's garden, they intertwine.

Together with every sentient being,
Let Right Belief light our way,
To the Dharma, we are all clinging,
As trust guides us, never astray.
