I relate to these in a very personal way:

"There is an authority you have to ask higher than Jundo, higher than Dogen, higher than the Buddha. You have to ask your spouse. Because she is gonna say "Hey, it's Sunday. What're you doing? It's our Sunday! I haven't seen you all week. What're you doing?"

Also, I relate to the "monk cosplay"... so true!

No cosplay - wife prefers police/fire uniforms to buddhist robes hehe, TMI, I'll end it there.

I loved this episode. I think when I was newer to the practice, I adopted things more because they were novel... just more distractions; it's something that practice has actually shown me. I think as I continue my practice, I like to organically incorporate practices without too much fanfare etc.

I really love a good gatha - especially a coffee one!
