Hope everyone is doing ok!

I noticed there had been no mention of these good folks over at meer.org around this space. The general idea is to use mirrors to reflect sunlight away and prevent it from heating the planet (on a both local and global scale, like oceans)

It is an interesting idea. Thank you for for pointing it out.

After reading further, it does sound quite optimistic as the amount of land needed to be covered with mirrors to make a difference is roughly 20 to 30% of the total global agricultural area (about 15-20 trillion square meters of land and ocean areas). The implementation of the project is estimated at 30 to 40 years.

It does, however, offer a potential solution to increased solar raditation, if people and governments globally got on board with the idea.
