Buddha Basics Podcast 02 - Dukkha Sucks

Our Zen of Everything Podcast takes a new turn, as Reverend Jundo (that's me) irreverently (yet somehow reverently too) dives into the basic history and teachings of Buddhism and Zen for both newcomers and fellow 'old Zen fools.'

Here's our latest episode of the new series ...

    Buddha Basics 02: Dukkha Sucks

Dukkha, often translated as "suffering," is at the heart of the four noble truths of Buddhism. But dukkha is about much more than suffering: it also means dissatisfaction, anxiety, frustration and disappointment. Its opposite is sukha, which means satisfaction, equanimity, ease, flowing with conditions.

And though our Zen way is beyond all likes and dislikes ... if you like the darn thing, please leave a positive ratings on iTunes! It really helps support the effort.

I liked this one a whole lot, and it gave me more and some new insight in the imperfections of translations of words we often use in Buddhism.

    Thank you for this podcast.
