    Ryaku Fusatsu 21 August 2021

    Dear sangha

It is that time of the moon again, or shortly will be, when we gather together to re-affirm the precepts and consider our practice over the last month. The history of the ceremony is explained here: https://www.treeleaf.org/forums/show...tment-Ceremony

This month it will be on Saturday 21 August at 5pm UK time (6pm central Europe, 7pm Ukraine, 12pm East Coast, 9am West Coast and various other times in between).

If you wish to join please ensure you have a copy of the ceremony (message me if you need one, including an offsite email address), and a small table with a bowl of water and leaf/small piece of foliage. You may also add flowers and/or a candle if you wish.

The ceremony lasts around forty minutes and is a lovely way to come together with sangha and reaffirm our practice together.

All are welcome, there is no need to have previously taken the precepts.

Such a beautiful and encouraging ceremony! Such an important reminder, as well, that we should tirelessly and incessantly strive to fully embody our roles as boddhisatvas. What a privilege it is to serve all beings!
