Sekishi,
It is interesting that you say this can be a "relief". That word often comes to mind when I try to think of what zazen is. It's a relief. A relief of not having to prop up and constantly support this made up concept, this self invention, this cockamamie idea of what I sometimes think self is.

Being a novice priest doesn't mean my writing about the Dharma is more substantial than yours. Actually, it might well be the other way round.
Thank you for sharing Kyonin,
I find it to be truly a relief. This is not mine, this I am not, this is not myself,And what a relief this can be!
"This is not mine, this I am not, this is not my self."
yet I exist.

I am a novice priest-in-training. Anything that I say must not be considered as teaching
and should be taken with a 'grain of salt'.
Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there!
He wasn't there again today,
Oh how I wish he'd go away!

Hi Kyonin
While browsing the forum I found you.
While sitting I lost myself,
and no-one could be found.
And yet....

While sitting with the cloud of experience, a thought rang clear as a bell: This is not me, this is not mine.
