    ARTS: Haiku prompt: Autumn/spring

    Hi all

Feel free to post your own haiku on the theme of autumn or spring depending on which hemisphere you are in!

Please try and keep your images crisp, clear and simple.

Here is one from Mitsu Suzuki to get you started:

    Autumn wind
    nothing but graffiti
    playground

    Masoaka Shiki:

    Singing somewhere
    back of the shoe closet
    a katydid

    And me:

    trying
    each jumper in turn
    early autumn

    One from me:

    Windy swing park
    Dads on phones
    on a rare day off

    And one from Fay Aoyagi:

    overslept
    I blame the quietness
    of rain

    Gassho,

    Neil

    Old blossoms falling.
    Brand new blossoms are also
    old falling blossoms.

    -- Ryokan

    New blossoms blooming.
Old blossoms, though they fade, fall --
    are new blossoms too.

I'm enjoying reading these. Thank you all. Inspiration to write my own is alluding me at the moment as anxiety around completing my Rakusu has a grip.
