Please 'sit-a-long' with our weekly FRIDAY/SATURDAY 'LIVE FROM TREELEAF' 90 minute ZAZENKAI, netcast from 10am Japan time Saturday morning (that is New York 9pm, Los Angeles 6pm (Friday night), London 2am and Paris 3am (early Saturday morning)

... and to be visible on the following screen during those times and sit-a-long-able any time thereafter ...

As you can see, our Zazenkai consists of chanting the 'Heart Sutra' in English (the words are at the link below), some full floor prostrations in sets of three (please follow along with me ... or a simple Gassho can be substituted if you wish), followed by our Dedication, Zazen twice for about 30 minutes each, with 10 minutes of Kinhin in between, and we end the sitting with 'The Verse of Atonement' and 'The Four Vows'.

Not everyone realizes that they can join in the Chanting of the Heart Sutra, Verse of Atonement and Four Vows (although we ask that you keep your microphone down). Please follow along with the Chant Book, and let your voice ring!

So, please join us as soon as you can, and we will keep a Zafu open for you.

Remember, when we drop all thought of 'here' 'there' 'now' 'then' ... we are sitting all together!

Thank you for the talk Jundo, my daughter was quite sick with a fever this past week, and like you said, I was very worried for her as being a nurse I am familiar with how quickly a child's health can deteriorate, but yet, as you spoke of, I was also in that place of acceptance, of awareness of impermanence, of knowing that my child too, is not immune to the hazards of being in a human body. On top of this I also had another curious juxtaposition of emotions - as my mind fantasised with the idea of her dying - that of a fear of not having her in this world with me, but also an immense gratitude for the love and time we have shared together. She has made a full recovery, and I laughed at myself afterwards for the mental and emotional gymnastics that occurred, but I also think these are important trainings too, this stuff does happen, it will happen to someone, that someone could be me (us). So, as a parent, what you spoke of resonated very strongly with me today.

Morning all from Cleveland Ohio USA!
Since it was a full house last night for Zazenkai, I sat this morning. Wonderful to sit together with all of you!

Hot humid weather here yesterday..89 degrees and very humid, drastically changed to 57 degrees and overcast with rain this morning. Peaceful, cool and refreshing.

Offering my sitting this morning to all who may have been "under the weather". May your conditions, like the weather and changing of seasons also be peaceful, cool and refreshing.

Sorry to hear of the illnesses going around! Shokai, mentioned heat issues? Heat has not been my friend either. I understand especially if you have had a 'heat injury' in your past that can make you especially sensitive to too much heat.

Thank you all, especially Jundo for a wonderful and timely talk. My wife's angina has been unstable for the last few days, so she's been pretty wiped out. Its kinda business as usual but she never knows when she'll get a bad attack on top of the small ones she gets each day. Oh if I had a magic button I could just press to take it and her other ailments away ! But life ain't like that so we take each day as it comes, not knowing if its going to be good or bad or just just. She is doctors tomorrow for her regular 28 day check up, so we'll see if anything has changed. I offer her daily metta and all those suffering with health problems.
