I love making things like that, Sekishi, I can see why you do this. Super cool. The second Hammer Striking Emptiness and the second Sky and Earth really look like something else entirely, like dunes, mountains or snow.

Very cool stuff here, thank you all!
Sekishi, I know images have no third dimension, but would your work allow to add one?
Like stacking three images (three times the same, or moved one pixel...)?
It's only, I'd love your rules to have 10 directions...

One of the things that makes pixelsorting inspiring to me is actually watching the process happen (and interacting with it as it occurs). It is difficult to capture due to the resolutions involved and such, but since "perfect" is the enemy of "good", I captured three videos with a camera on a tripod.
Between the capture method and youtube's transcoding, everything is pretty fuzzy (setting your quality to "HD" will help, but only so much). My apologies.

Cooperix's Ink - a few different algorithms in the first half to thoroughly scramble things, and a single algorithm in the second half to let it just drift.

Very cool Sekishi. They look cool together too.

Hi Sekishi,
Interesting transforms. Do you run a fixed number of iterations, or run to a final bi-stable state, like the cellular automata in "Game of Life"?
