Chant of after Zazen & respect of our Kesa and Rakisu

    Now I make Rakusu.

I found traditional book of Kesa.

And chant of Respectation our Kesa & Zazen.

I chant this after Zazan .

    Nishjima Roshi is chanting.

    This chant is treasure!

And book about Kesa is produced by Sawaki&Uchiyama Roshi

I am very proud at Antaiji and their achievement is respectable.

Thank you, Konan. This is a real treasure to be able to watch this video. It definitely makes it feel like we are connected to many others who also chant the robe verse.

PS - For our Kesa sewers, I will just point out that Nishijima Roshi is wearing a "standard" Soto Style Kesa there, tied in the Eiheiji way (Sojiji priests have their own way). The Kesa cut and way of tying is rather different from the "Nyoho-e" style Kesa sewn here at Treeleaf, and also at Antaiji. Nishijima Roshi did encourage his lay students to sew Rakusu and Kesa, by the way, in the Nyoho-e style, and to wear them.

    Hi.

    Thank you.
You really respect the Kesa, Rakusu and Life after you've been there and been part of making it.
