Weird Story of the Day: Have astronomers discovered an alien megastructure?

All if can say is that, watching Dr. Michio Kaku over the years, he gets very very excited and a bit "over-enthused" by stuff sometimes.

More here from other sources if you can't link to that ...

My Zazen this morning reached from my Zafu all the way to all alien megastructures everywhere!

I am interested more so in what they will find when they turn the radio-telescopes on that area. From my limited knowledge, I believe they have only been able to "listen" to a fraction of the known universe, and having an actual target such as this may hold some promise.

I've been following this one. It tickles the same nerve as the thought of sulfur sucking tube worms on the hydrothermal vents of Europa, or methane eating microbes on Titan. As soon as instruments are sensitive enough to take spectrographic readings of exoplanet filtered light, scientists will surely find living worlds. I think this case is most likely a trail of comet debris or an asteroid field. Not a partially complete Dyson sphere or something like that. Maybe we'll know when SETI tunes in?

    Hello,

When the "Golden Calfers" (just describing some scientists) realize Earth, itself, is sentient; then extra-terrestrial life forms could matter.

    Meanwhile, it is interesting.

Buddha nature pervades the whole universe, or at least to Mars.

I thought the same thing about the goddess - sort of Venus of Willendorf.
