Thread: Metta Thread

  1. #1851
Emily is off the suppressing drugs and they will wait up to two more days to see if she makes contact. They'll be watching (testing?) the brain signals. They will invite us to a strategy meeting.

She has good pulse now and can sometimes breathe on her own, has knee reflexes but is not making gestures or eye contact at this time.

Mike is with her today. She can have one person per day. PBB is scheduled for tomorrow. Me on Wednesday. One is escorted by security and wears cap gown and gloves, so it takes some doing. We'll also be making use of the speakerphone.

Thank you all for your participation in our situation, especially the special dedication at Rohatsu. _()_

    Sorry for so many sentences.

    Dear Shonin,

One thing I know, from some experiences myself: Even if she is not fully conscious, she may still feel the love and hear the words, recognizing voices and touch in some way, even if it may not always appear so.

I know, Shonin, you feel all the love from everyone here too.

Thank you, everyone. She departed today.

In memoriam Emily Buff Bear, 1986-2021. "Turn toward joy."

Current doctors' guess is birth defect of heart signaling system: congenital long QT syndrome. With this, one is always a heartbeat away from departing at any time; kind of like life in general shall we say. "I respectfully say to those who wish to be enlightened: do not waste your time by night or day. "

Asking for metta for my mother. She has been 6 months "cancer-free" (she's in stage 4, but still has energy to put up a good fight). Today we got told it is back, without a clear follow-up in terms of treatment. We are waiting for answers, but it is very hard to receive this kind of news again, especially not being able to be with her due to Covid and other circumstances. Thank you.
