a medecine for usless talking, blogging and forum surfing

Just bump in to this form Rev Mugo, a priest who writes on the Jade Mountains blog and a distant relative of Kennett roshi:

    Life lessons...

Allow yourself the uncomfortable luxury of changing your mind.
Build pockets of stillness into your life. Meditate – and sleep.
Do nothing for prestige or status or money or approval alone.
    Be generous.
…when people try to tell you who you are, don’t believe them.
Presence is far more intricate and rewarding an art than productivity.
“Expect anything worthwhile to take a long time.”

    take care,

Thank you for the "cave of tigers" book suggestion. Surfing this forum is not a total waste of time.

Surfing this forum is a great opportunity, and for some people it can be a waste of time, for others, just life as is.
Depends what you do with it, and how you dance with your life.

my medicine suggestion is awareness, being curious, not analyzing with the babbling mind but to experience and look closely. Of course thats only my 2c,

This hits me right in the head, where I needed it the most.

This morning while on zazen I finally realized something that wasn't quite right with me lately. I have been bombarding my own self with tons of information and stimuli from work, training, reading, watching movies and the many things I do throughout the day. It's been unusually busy for me.

Work rush will come to an end in a couple of weeks, so things will get back to normal.

But I really need a break from stuff.

    Build pockets of stillness...

    Thanks, Taigu.

    Thank you Taigu;

One good poem deserves another (or something like that)

    The golden and fine form
Is to get dressed and to eat meals.
That is why I bow to you.
I sleep early and get up late.
    Aye. . .
Talk of the profound and preaching of the fine are enormously free.
Sternly be on guard lest a twirling flower inflames you.

Le secret consiste donc seulement à dire "OUI" et à se jeter dans le vide. Dès lors, il n'y a plus de problème. Il s'agit d'être soi-même dans l'instant présent, toujours soi-même, sans s'accrocher à son vieux moi.
