HO HO HO - Oh no... its a 'sit-a-long' with our weekly SATURDAY 'LIVE FROM TREELEAF from Shohei's Living Room (or very tiny zazen area depending on the kids!!)' 90 minute ZAZENKAI, netcast LIVE from 9am Atlantic Standard Time /10 pm Japan time (that is New York 8am, Los Angeles 5am, London 1pm and Paris 2 pm)

01:25 – 01:30 FOUR VOWS, & VERSE OF ATONEMENT

As you can see, our Zazenkai consists of chanting the 'Heart Sutra' in Japanese (the words are below), some full floor prostrations in sets of three (please follow along with me ... or a simple Gassho can be substituted if you wish), followed by our Dedication, Zazen twice for 30 minutes each, with 10 minutes of Kinhin in between, and we end the sitting with 'The Verse of Atonement' and 'The Four Vows'.

We also dedicate these efforts to the Three Treasures,

May they be serene through all their ills.
May their lives be at peace and Wisdom pervade the darkness of ignorance.

To the healing of hatred in all countries and among all peoples
To the wisdom and compassion of our world leaders
To the peace of the world and harmony of all beings.

Thus, let the harmful effects of words, thoughts and actions be dispelled
and Compassion bloom in perpetual spring.

FOUR VOWS (to be recited 3x , vibrant on the second, soft on the third time):

To save all sentient beings, though beings numberless

To transform all delusions, though delusions inexhaustible

To perceive Reality, though Reality is boundless

To attain the Enlightened Way, a Way non-attainable
