Open to anyone who either practices an art-form, or who is seeking to develop an art-form, from traditional modes such as painting, sculpting and writing to video/filmmaking/animation, audio/music, digital, installation and more, centered on Soto Zen and Buddhist expression. No ranking or judgement, just a spirit of fun and sharing. (This section also includes a small Japanese Language Study Group)
It is certainly not necessary to study Japanese or any Asian language to practice Zen. Not at all. However, some people find that language study is enjoyable, and can enrich understanding of traditions and history. This little section is for them.
