NOTE: Due to surprise circumstance (i.e., life), today's 11/5 sit will have to be a recorded re-sit of a prior week. Please sit-a-long. OUR MONTHLY 4-HOUR ZAZENKAI HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO 11/12. ALSO, NOTE DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME CHANGE IN EUROPE!

Hello All,

Please 'sit-a-long' with our weekly FRIDAY/SATURDAY 'LIVE FROM TREELEAF' 90 minute ZAZENKAI, netcast LIVE from 9am Japan time Saturday morning (that is New York 8pm, Los Angeles 5pm (Friday night), London midnight and Paris 1am (early Saturday morning)

... and to be visible at the following link during those times ...

no live sitting this week!

But FEAR NOT if not possible for you to join 'live' in your location at those times, as the entire sitting is recorded in 'REAL TIME' and available for full participation 'on demand' at any time after that, no different from the 'live' sitting :

'REAL TIME' recorded 'ANY TIME' version link is here:

OUR 90 MINUTE SITTING SCHEDULE IS AS FOLLOWS:

00:00 – 00:15 CEREMONY (HEART SUTRA in English ONLY) and Dedication
00:15 – 00:45 ZAZEN
00:45 – 00:55 KINHIN
00:55 – 01:25 ZAZEN
01:25 – 01:30 FOUR VOWS, & VERSE OF ATONEMENT

As you can see, our Zazenkai consists of chanting the 'Heart Sutra' in English (the words are at the link below), some full floor prostrations in sets of three (please follow along with me ... or a simple Gassho can be substituted if you wish), followed by our Dedication, Zazen twice for 30 minutes each, with 10 minutes of Kinhin in between, and we end the sitting with 'The Verse of Atonement' and 'The Four Vows'.

Please download and print out the words of the Chants we will recite at the following link:

So, please join us as soon as you can, and we will keep a Zafu open for you.

Remember, when we drop all thought of 'here' 'there' 'now' 'then' ... we are sitting all together!

All okay, just helping out at a local festival.

Tomorrow, I am leading our Tsukuba sitters on a hike of Mt. Tsukuba. We'll sit a bit up there too.

Hi All,

I'm about to hop in my TARDIS and do a little time traveling to an earlier time and date for this weeks Zazenkai. I've got my coordinates set for Feb 13th 2010(before my time here!). This one stands out for me because nobody seems to have sat this one :( . At least that's what I gather considering there are no comments from any sitters.

Gassho,
John

Had a nice and relaxing Zazenkai yesterday, at the break of dawn.

Thank you, Jundo-Sensei.

And thanks all who sat, transcending time and space :D
