Thank you everybody,
Jundo for providing inspirational introduction and
everybody else for emphasizing different aspects
of our weekly reading. It was and is of immeasrurable
value,
I'm currently approaching Shobogenzo, and it takes
my full "budget" of weekly reading time to get into
it, so I - for now - stop contributing.

Hi Peter,

If you are going to be diving into the wonderful flowering tangled maze filled with mirrors and locked doors that is Shobogenzo ...

... please have a look at the thread on Reading Dogen ... including the several recommendations of excellent books by 'Dogenologists' that offer some helpful keys to approaching those doors ...

Thank you Jundo,
I appreciate it, I already have a small collection of gardening tools, but
I not yet saw your "Long Post", which I will read carefully,

Hi Peter,
Sorry to see you won't be able to complete your study of "Transmitting The Light "with us. Your comments were truly appreciated.
I hope you heed Jundo's advice and read, "Realizing Genjokoan"by Shohaku Okumura. I found this to be a most helpful tool in reading Shobogenzo. Good luck in your study. Gassho, Zak

Many thanks, Zak,
actually reading Okumuras book convinced me, so I can only recommend it
to everyone too. Even if you dont want to approach Shobogenzo right now,
its so much value on its own, immeasurable.
