FOR THOSE NOT ALREADY MEMBERS OF THE CIRCLE WHO WISH TO JOIN TO SIT LIVE WITH A CAMERA, INSTRUCTIONS ARE POSTED AT THIS LINK (http://www.treeleaf.org/forums/showthread.php?10200-How-to-Join-GOOGLE-for-Zazenkai). WE ARE NOW LIMITED TO 10 INDIVIDUALS WITH CAMERAS, BUT ANY NUMBER CAN WATCH LIVE 'ONE WAY' AND SIT-A-LONG VIA THE ABOVE SCREEN. IF JOINING WITH CAMERA, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR MICROPHONE IS MUTED:

00:00 – 00:15 CEREMONY (HEART SUTRA in English) and Dedication
00:15 – 00:45 ZAZEN
00:45 – 00:55 KINHIN
00:55 – 01:25 ZAZEN
01:25 – 01:30 FOUR VOWS & VERSE OF ATONEMENT

As you can see, our Zazenkai consists of chanting the 'Heart Sutra' in English (the words are at the link below), some full floor prostrations in sets of three (please follow along with me ... or a simple Gassho can be substituted if you wish), followed by our Dedication, Zazen twice for about 30 minutes each, with 10 minutes of Kinhin in between, and we end the sitting with 'The Verse of Atonement' and 'The Four Vows'.

Please join us in the Chanting of the Heart Sutra (although please keep your microphone muted). You can download and print out the Chants we will recite at the following link (PDF):

Chant Book (PDF) (https://sites.google.com/site/jundotreeleaf/Weekly%20%26%20Monthly%20Zazenkai%20-%20Lay%20Version%20-%20Feb2017.pdf?attredirects=0&d=1)

or

Chant Book (SHORT VERSION HTML) (http://www.treeleaf.org/forums/showthread.php?7032-Weekly-Monthly-Zazenkai-Chant-Book-is-Here)

Not everyone realizes that they can join in the Chanting of the Heart Sutra, Verse of Atonement and Four Vows (although we ask that you keep your microphone down). Please follow along with the Chant Book, and let your voice ring!

So, please join us as soon as you can, and we will keep a Zafu open for you.

Remember, when we drop all thought of 'here' 'there' 'now' 'then' ... we are sitting all together!

I sat with the recording, thank you.

Thank you for the inspiring talk, beautiful in Japanese and English. Very comforting to me at this time. Is it possible to get a written version (including the Japanese)? It was so beautiful and encouraging.

Deep bows, much gratitude.

Thank you, I am glad you found it helpful. You are beautiful and encouraging too.

There is a written version, but only if you write it down I guess. :p Otherwise, such words are best just to fade into the wind (especially all my grammatical errors in Japanese) [evil2].

Thank you, Jundo, for this talk. I also found it moving and helpful. Like many of us, I'm sure, it's part of my day job to know stuff. It's good to be reminded that it's not always in my best interests to attach the same importance to knowledge in other aspects of my life.

Before listening to "today's" talk and following the posts earlier this week, l thought I didn't know that I didn't know, now i realize that I do not know and was probably over thinking what I thought I knew. Maybe I've been trying to live the moment and not think too much about what I didn't know but reflecting on the things I can't control I see I did not know after all. And that's good. Thank you for this lesson Jundo as it has made things much clearer to me.

Thank you for this week's broadcast, which I sat earlier in the week. I've always maintained that if Buddhism had given me nothing else ( but of course it has) it has gifted me the freedom to say ' I don't know', not in a dismissive way, but in a way full of wonder and openness. It's probably one of the most liberating experiences I've known and it was so good to be reminded of it in this week's zazenkai.
I also loved hearing the Japanese; one of my winter activities for about four years has been to try to learn Japanese - I have to admit, I haven't got very far! [duh]

Gassho

Sat with you all today.
