I would like to offer Metta for all the poor folks, many likely suffering greatly with personal trauma, psychological and other illness, who would turn to (and turn over their money to) to conmen and snake oil salesmen. It is as old as the hills.

PS - (As a side note, this caused me to look into snake oil ... and I found a basis in truth! Although much of the rattle snake "snake oil" sold by snake oil salesman as a cure for rheumitism and inflamation was worthless or even poisonous, it seems that Chinese water snake oil actually has some effect because of fish oil from the fish that the Chinese water snakes ate! [scared] )
