    hermitage poem

Dogen, in a mountain Hermitage writes:

    Because the mind is free
    Listening to the rain
    Dripping from the eaves
    The drops become
    One with me

The shattered universe collapses into the Moon-body. Here, not attached to anything, just being, not trying, not chasing, not escaping, things are undone and done, by themselves. In this, Mountains do walk, stone women are sweet; who said that one could do it, even in a dream? Who said that shinjin datsuraku can be fabricated, taylored, made, done? The rain will teach you.

Please remember I am only a priest in training. I could be wrong in everything I say. Slap me if needed.
