Thread: The Greatest Buddha

    The Greatest Buddha

A poem that partially came to me this morning. The rest is just improvised:

I am the greatest Buddha that ever lived.

Yet I am Dirt and Ash.

    The universe keeps expanding

    And I am a speck.

I am the Greatest Buddha that ever lived.

    Yet, I still shit.

    My bones get old,

And the Autumn turns to Spring, turns to winter, turns to summer,

    If only summer, then fine.

    If only winter, then fine.

I can't change the summer by Saying "Hey summer! Change!"

I am the Greatest Buddha that ever lived.

But I can still write a frickin poem.

    Kidding.

It's called morning sickness for Buddhas.

That was actually, more about bringing "people, Gurus, and things to a greater level then we can relate to. Instead of recognizing ourselves as Buddha. Hence "The greatest Buddha that ever lived". But whatever, could have a few meaning I guess.

    The Greatest Buddha

You live, the unborn Buddha is you.

I like your line, "I am the greatest Buddha that ever lived". It's like a Koan! Playing with the absolute and the relative, the unfathomable and the obvious. It caught my interest!

    Good shit!
