Your openness and Jundo's openness is truly appreciated. It's why I came, and why I have stayed, and why I have committed myself under both of your instruction.

    Enjoy the holidays,

P.s. Quite logistical question: If one sews a Rakusu, must it always be sent to the teacher to have the calligraphy done of the back or may one do it themself? Gasshos again!

Thank you Taigu Sensei. Thank you (and Jundo) for taking the time for this. That Rakusu stitching was very beautiful, the work of a true craftsman.

Thank you Taigu Sensei for reminding us how very lucky we are with what we have here! A completely agree that everyone here is a student as well as a teacher. It would be a shame if all this wisdom here was not allowed to blossom.

Thank you Taigu. I feel that the message you sent in this Sit-A-Long is extremely important, and I truly felt you said it in exactly the best way. A beautiful Buddha statue carved from wood and covered in shining gold leaf is a well dressed fire log, but at the same time it's a beautiful Buddha statue, embodying Amida and a cultural treasure. Again, thank you for the teaching, Taigu. We also learn a lot from you too!

On the subject of verical versus horizontal ways of approaching organizations I found the metaphor of the cathedral versus the bazaar by Eric S. Raymond quite illuminating:

It gets somewhat techie at the end, but it's worth reading, I think
