    Some crafty ideas.

So I've been googling around and found some pretty neat things to do with the kids:

This one has a few crafts that could be fun to make.

BuddhaNet has some colouring pages as well as a few craft items (like folding lotus blossoms and such).

I'll keep looking around as well..found some amazing Buddha Origami but think it's out of kids (or even my) origami mastery...

I'm sure kids would love coloring mandalas.

I taught comparative religions to A level students a few years ago and did a lot of work on Mandalas. The art form, and mandala making, could be a fantastic opportunity to bring kids together on a project and also to eventually destroy the mandala and give it back to nature, to where it comes from and belongs. The teaching of impermanence and the very beauty of this fleeting world should be at the core of our work with children.

Great idea Taigu.... Just as an add on, the mandalas could be made from natural materials in natural places...I am referencing the natural artist Andy Goldsworthy.

I have done work with kids inspired by him and many of the ideas do indeed resemble manadalas that are left to be weathered naturally.
