One of zazen's basics is to drop judgments of good and bad. Jundo posted this to me here on a thread a while back, and I responded with something like, "Yeah, yeah, I know, I know." But then a day or so later I responded again saying, "Oh, now I see better where I had good/bad judgments and need to drop them." It took time for that seed idea to sprout. These days I am noticing lots of good/bad judgments, especially off the cushion, and I am practicing letting them drop, just letting things be as they are. So now that seed is growing into a flower (ok, maybe not quite there yet :roll.

I thought it might be a nice thread to post little stories about Buddhist seeds that took time to sprout. They don't have to be Jundo related. Zen itself is often its own seed that takes time to sprout, so we might need to be more specific to areas of practice or whatever. Anyway, have fun with it.
