    Back to the fold

    Hello Treeleaf!

It's been a few months since I've been around. I'm not sure why I took a bit of a break. I've been very busy with some activities and most of them wholesome, lol

But I'd like to come back to the Sangha here and experience the encouragement and sense of community again.

My sitting practice has not been very steady of late and I'm going to recommit to it tonight.

I think the Treeleaf Saturday Zazenkai w/ Jundo might be a good place to start.

    take care,

    Gregor

It's all part of your practice . . . no need to explain.

    Glad you are back, Gregor.

    welllll howdy!
    & welcome back Kott-er Gregor!

I too, am back, after some time of being tied up with home life. I hadn't been sitting regularly and it took the time away to realize just how important this place was to my practice (not that i had doubts). Any who ill stop hogging in on your post!

Gosh! Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

This place and group of people truly is so important to my practice -- it's wonderful to feel so welcomed and encouraged by everyone.

I've returned to competitive fencing and have been putting in a whole lot of time training for that; not so much on the cushion. Hopefully, I can find some balance -- no reason the two cannot compliment each other.

Gonna start off slow w/ just one sit a day, right before bed.

A book you may want to read, although it has been 25 years since I looked at it. Probably a bit more Rinzai in flavor (they had the bigger connection to the Samurai in centuries past than did the "farmer" Soto).
