    New Student

Hello, like you, I am a newcomer to the world of Zen Buddhism. You can call me Josh, ShonenYo, or whatever you like.

I've been involved in active zazen, and other Buddhist practises from other sects; I'm coming mostly from the Theravada tradition. I suspect I am not the only one who has reconciled Zen with the teachings of old. I'd say I'm a practical Zen Buddhhist in Theravada theory. I'd like to know if anyone else feels the same way?

    Nice meeting you all

I'd say that pretty much perfectly describes my practice. Welcome.

Ah good, I just didn't want angry Buddhists setting themselves on fire because a hybrid joined their forum.
