Been a bit distracted the last few days with the long over due birth of our little boy Beren this sunday afternoon, only 16 days over! and threatening to come on and off for the past few weeks.

I'd been thinking on how this was going to impact on/destroy my practise until I realised that he's probably just what I need to help me be more present, as he is. Hopefully my common lack of 'presence' won't rub off on him.

Clare, my wife in the picture, said her sitting was invaluable during the birth and managed with only a bit of the old gas and air.

Your 'practice' is only beginning! BELIEVE me!

    Is he your first?

Our first birth in the Sangha, by the way.

    Marvelous. Wonderful.

    Thanks

I actually have a teenage/grown up daughter from my first marriage but it feels like this all very new

Along with everything else here my sittings will need to evolve, or is that revolve, around the new boss of the house.

Plans are for me to be a home Dad when Clare goes back to work after maternity leave

Thanks to you all. I'm sure Daddy-hood will have many challenges and pleasures along the way

You're right Kat some might think it's a bit of a name to live up to, if he did find his Luthien it would be funny
