    Impermanence

I was very moved by a story I spotted in the news today:

Woman Killed By Stone That Fell From Gargoyle On Historic Church

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/0...n_5768496.html

(I'd have linked to the Chicago Tribune, but "premium features are not available to readers outside the United States." I assume reading an article is a premium feature...)

What is probably most heartbreaking is the picture in the article showing the stone on the sidewalk. (I tried to insert it in the post, but it's too big.)

A reminder that we're all here for a limited time, and that time can end at any moment with no warning...

We will sit for her, and for the poor people who attend that church.

It reminds me of the evening verse:

    "Let me respectfully remind you,
Life and Death are of supreme importance.

Time swiftly passes by and oportunity is lost.

Each of us should strive to awaken...
    awaken...

    Take heed.

    Do not squander your life."
