    Subtle sound

During all these years of being around , I have forgotten to tell you that the book I warmly and kindly advise you to read and sit with is Subtle sound, a collection of teaching of Maurine Stuart,
A Rinzai teacher beyond Rinzai and Soto. These days it s the book that inpires me most apart from Shobogenzo and good old poetry.
Beware! it might shatter your little world to pieces, if you let it read you!

Yes and thank you Taigu for the warning. It does tend to shatter this little world to pieces.

    Hello,

Subtle Sound is a worthwhile and jaw-dropping read. Very much enjoyed the koan involving Bach's Prelude and Fugue Book 2, BWV 889. Amazon.xxx has a sample with Christianne Jaccottet (harpsichord) and/or Martin Galling (piano).

Thank you, Taigu. Reading this book, a little each day, was challenging, soothing, frustrating, and forgiving.

I will pick this up after I'm done with the extensive library I already have. One book at a time.
