The other evening, Jokai from Yokoji led a 25 minute sitting with a short dharma talk afterwards at a local meditation center. He presented a simple formula for living that he said was one of Buddha's teachings from later in his life. Jokai couldn't remember what the original text was or whether or not it was a simplified version of the original. I Googled it with no luck, but I know someone here will have the answer! I've got the verse taped to my monitor to remind me of the basics.

Want little;
Know how to be satisfied;
Enjoy peace and tranquility;
Remember who you are.
