    This Sangha does not exist

    An investigation of reality

    This World does not exist
    This Sangha does not exist
    Our teachers do not exist
    outside our own mind.
It is all a projection of mind.

Your Sangha is not my Sangha
Your teacher is not my teacher
Your world is not my world
And my world is not real.

Our Sangha is me projecting a Sangha
the way I think and expect a Sangha to be.
Our teachers is me projecting teachers
The way I expect teachers to be
    Zen is me projecting Zen
The way I expect Zen to be

Seeing not what is but seeing what is not
    There is no border.
    Not between me and you
    Not between me and sangha
    Not between me and Buddha
    Not between this and that
    It is all one!

All is dropped and now see what is really there
    This and that no more
No you, no me no anything
    Just one vast, unending everything
that we can all live and exist in.
    Play and fight with
    Laugh and cry about
    Sit and participate in
As long as we all know
    it is not real.

    Deep bows

Real. Not real. Not one, not two.

    Thank you, Enkyo.

That was a very nice poem by you about our Zen Sangha. I like it. Really, I do. It was real, man.

It's all part of the universal flow.

    Thank you, Enkyo.

Thanks for that Enkyo! Only recently have I begun to experience that. In another way of expressing it I've recently thought just because I hear a sound that doesn't mean that the silence departs. Gassho, John

    Reality check:
Yeah. It's right there in front of me, still not there.

A friend was angry at me for weeks, and I didn't know till yesterday.

A chestnut fell on my head *ouch*... didn't see it coming.

Got a call about work, from someone who has followed it for years.. never knew he existed.

The bottom step of the deck has rotted through, when no one was looking.

Went to an indian cafe for mango lassi. It was the first time. It was busy and is always busy. Without me ever knowing.

Whole worlds carry on without me.

    Gassho. Daizan
