    Floating

Success and failure are your journey."
    ~ Chogyam Trungpa

The days flow, varying, from rapids to a trickle, and back. Looking endlessly at the bank, the stream of thoughts cease. Just a moment, here. A moment, needed to right ones mind in the torrent of sensations and reflections, ideas and impressions. In flowing water keeping one's feet becomes difficult. Every wave and swell is death incarnate, or is it the ego-death? Trek ever forward, with refuge, everywhere once found within.

    Green branch, summer born,
    Ride water, ever changing,
    Beyond, it's just this.

    Greetings Sangha,

Yet to greet, yet to meet. Hello all and thank you.

    Mu,
    Arthus

    Your haiku, Arthus? Is lovely.

    Welcome!

Came across a quote today by a less studied philosopher.

"To recognize untruth as a condition of life--that certainty which means resisting accustomed value feelings in a dangerous way; and a philosophy that risks this would by that token alone place itself beyond good and evil."

    ~Friedrich Nietzsche

We sit beyond true and false. Drop all judgments of "true" and "false", "good vs. evil". Here 1 = 2 = XYZ.

And yet, like the other side of a no sided coin, we sit right as true and false, because 2 + 2 will never equal 5, and the sun does not circle the earth. Good and Evil truly exist, as the news reports demonstrate each day in Boston, Syria and many places.

Buddha was more Super than Nietzsche's Superman!

For my afternoon sit, after Deshan's "Neither Asking nor Not Asking".

    Many thanks,

Why not before instead of after?

    I hit you.

Deshan asked, 'What difference would it make...?'

Yes, well, I am going to leave the "Dharma Combat" right there. I stink at it.

Laughs. 'Combat' portends purpose. No purpose, no not-purpose eh?

This one thanks you and Deshan in the same way.

No, I just meant that I stink at "Dharma Combat", that "this one" is really bad at it.

If that was combat, consider the sword sheathed. Though this 'combat' makes for fun Wittgensteinian language games, "words are wind."

While the form of thanks is sitting, the mud fights stress-test my dharmic tenacity (open invitation).

Nothing but thanks for all you do teacher.

    Gassho oneesan,
    Hajimemashite (Nice to meet you)

    Though I don't know 'A lot',
I fear we are "like planting seeds on stone".

And though I don't know what's out there,
    We could take a look.

    Hey Arthus,

Do you always talk like this? I mean, when you are in Starbucks, does your order go ...

The days flow, varying, from rapids to a trickle, and back.

    What size?

    Though I don't know 'A lot',
I fear we are "like planting seeds on stone".

    Whipped cream?

Every wave and swell is death incarnate, or is it the ego-death?

Or maybe you just don't go to Starbucks.

Haha. Well struck, though they usually set the rules with 'what drink can I start for you?' And wham! Mud-dy.

Verbosity, while practically useful, is still murky and the cause of confusion. Trying to explain colors to the lifelong blind.

So a 'mocha with an extra shot' is ordered and received, just try to stay afloat. Using whatever pieces can be found.

Admittedly still working on sitting between the 'two iron mountains'.

TL; DR Yes Arthus is strange, he talks like this to those who listen. And to build some sweet mud forts with friends.

I'm sure you have a beautiful range of vocabulary, but load a sentence up with too many words and it becomes hard to understand. I'm not having an easy time figuring out what it is you want to say, Arthus, if anything in particular.

Hit the nail on the head methinks. Just a pig in mud.

    So nothing, in particular.

New guy testing the waters, floating and bumping into things.

    Appreciate you humoring a bloke.

    It is nice to meet.
And while the winds gust, brother,
    two lips will blow too.

Have we figured out why Bodhidharma came from India yet?
