    Dogen's quote of zazen

    Hello everybody,

    I just read a talk of Dogen, I wanted to share it with you, in this moment of Ango when we sit a little more. This is what he says about sitting:

    "A flower blooming on a monk's staff has merit.
    Smiling on our sitting cushions, there's nothing lacking"
    Discourse 531 Eihei Koroku.

    Even sometime someone can feel difficult to seat more (I'm concerned too) , Dogen reminds us that more than nothing to achieve, in this Buddhahood we can enjoy all. A kind of encouragement I felt reading this (just a feeling not commenting)

    Good Ango and practice

    Thank you,

    (Crying on our sitting cushions, nothing is lacking either!)

    Gassho,
    Pontus
    In a spring outside time, flowers bloom on a withered tree;
    you ride a jade elephant backwards, chasing the winged dragon-deer;
    now as you hide far beyond innumerable peaks--
    the white moon, a cool breeze, the dawn of a fortunate day
