REMINDER: ANGO COMMENCES, and our GLOBAL DAY OF SERVICE

    Dear All,

Just a reminder to all joining in, that our 'ANGO' (90 Day Special Practice Season) commences from this Saturday, September 1st, with our September, 4-hour Monthly Treeleaf Zazenkai. I will be presenting a little talk during the Zazenkai to mark the beginningless-beginning. Details here, not too late to jump on in ...

    http://www.treeleaf.org/forums/showt...0-Days%29-2012

Details on related activities will be posted from time to time in our JUKAI, PRECEPTS STUDY & SEWING FORUM ...

    http://www.treeleaf.org/forums/forum...Y-SEWING-FORUM

... and Precepts Study, our Rakusu Sewing Circle and such will also be starting in the coming days and few weeks. Please keep your eyes open for announcements of those.

Also, a reminder that our Treeleaf Global Service Day is also planned for your participation on a day of your choosing between September 15-29.

Please continue to think and plan for a public service or charitable activity that you (and your family if possible) can undertake on that day, and all our Sangha members are encouraged ... in fact, asked ... to do so.

I am very excited to get started. Even though there is nothing to accomplish, it will be interesting to see what what gets accomplished!

I have no clue what zen is, what it does, or how to attain it. However, I do have a very fancy cushion and a love of tiny Buddha statues, so I guess I will stick with it.

Thank you. I will be there for Zazenkai, and am starting to watch the sewing videos. It looks fun, and slightly intimidating. I will be participating in the day of service.

Will strive to sit all the recorded zazenkais from hereon (not very practical for me to do them live). Also looking forward to the Global Day of Service.

    Hello all,

Dang! Almost missed this....but hey it's the 1st today ...so I will begin the beginingless! Deep bows to those undertaking Jukai and a word of encouragement for Rakusu sewing.....if I did it anyone can - really! For the Day of Service I have something special planned and will try to do a post on it later today....or in the next few days.

I've started running again, and for Ango I'm using an application called Charity Miles. For every mile I run they give X to a charity I choose from their selection. So far I've ran for Feeding America, but I'm considering running for Autism instead.
