Much like the beautiful dancing Dorothy on the yellow bricks road, OUR JOB IS TO UNMASK THE WIZARD, in other words to dispell the illusion of the ego and turn the three poisons, the three little companions of Dorothy into compassion, wisdom and action.

I have been going through some difficult times. Because of that, I have been resisting practicing: Maybe tomorrow, maybe it'll be easier in the morning, maybe if I have a good day it will be better to sit tonight. Not now, not ever now.

Thank you for letting me know how foolish that has been. I still find the idea of sitting again a little daunting.

I'm like someone who stays out in the rain because it might be dark in the house; or worse, there might be housework to do in there!

I guess it's time I cleared the cobwebs from the refuge. Did some dishes. Dusted off the zafu.

Hi Yukon, I know how you feel. After an accident a few years back I found it impossible to sit, every time I tried the event played back in my mind to the point I would feel physically sick. After 3 years of repeated attempts I was finally able to sit for 30 minutes. So don't give up , keep trying , nothing lasts forever.
