o/ (a bit off topic)
As i hinted in a post in a previous thread....
We are adding to our lil family :D!! o/o/
We should be 4 by September and were all very excited! Our daughter is finishing off teething by getting 4, yes FOUR teeth in all at once. That combined with the full moon and her first round with a cold has provided much time in the wee hours to practice both zen and functioning with little sleep :) We have some interesting juggling to do with space in our little home. I believe we will be adding and finishing a foundation this summer to accommodate our needs so this will be the summer of much samu... interesting that Jundo has that hammer handy... i was looking for volunteers! ;D
Anywho just wanted to share news and joy!

Congratulations :D
our little Beren is just 8 weeks old and having to go for his first injections tomorrow, poor thing, makes him sound like a dog  We too have space issues, any idea how to get an inter-dimensional extension :?:
The bigger one is Faith, my grand-daughter, don't ask

Congrats Dirk,
It appears that all that snow shoveling didn't take up as much time as I thought it did. ;)
Dog,
that second shot of Beren is very telling.

Hey Dirk,
Wonderful news! Congratulations!
Longdog,
Thanks for the smile that those beautiful children brought to my face!

Wow Long dog - Beautiful lil Buddhas there! Then needles make me shiver... if there was a way to take the shots for them and just pass the good stuff over to them id be the first inline. Sienna has had 3 rounds thus far - 2 or 3 the first time, 3 the next and 3 last... not only was she MAD as a wet hen she was quite put out that WE WOULD LET THIS HAPPEN!!
As for inter-dimentional extentions i think you'd need to talk to this guyhttp://www.mikefullerton.com/blog/co...ffs%5B1%5D.gif
Rev- snow days are all day :] -shoveling take 3 to 4 hours max lol!!
-
Congrats, Dirk!
And Longdog, Beren is one intense-looking baby!
You all seem like such a loving bunch of folks. It's very inspiring and refreshing.

Hi Dirk - that's great news, I wish you and your family all the best! BTW I wish we had some of that snow here in Frankfurt. As a former upstate NYer I really miss it...

Lil update:
So we went to the doctor on saturday for the preliminary status check on things. Sienna had fallen sound asleep on the drive so i dropped off my wife and went for a relaxing drive. I returned with in the guessed-amated time and stat for about another 1/2hour. my wife appeared and jumped into the car. I smiled and asked "soooo we havin' twins? :P "- an on going joke we had -
she replied
"ummmmm maybe"
either that or one Giant baby
Time will tell :)

Hello all
As i ve said earlier ive been away from the forums for a bit and even my practice... it happens... anywho im here to say yesterday i recieved a rather sad early birthday surprise. We have lost our unborn.
Life is neither fair nor unfair. It just is and were dealing with it.
I often forget just how uncertain a future can be. It really only exists with in the moment just like the past.

Dirk,
So many families in the Sangha have known this. I can tell you all the Buddhist theory and facts of nature about such things, but everyone sometimes must just meet it head on.
I often think that my wife and I only have the beautiful boy (and soon-to-be girl) we have because of all the at-the-time hard events and biological hurdles that led to this moment. I know you and your wife will be able to say that sometime soon.
Gassho, Jundo

Virtual hugs are a poor substitute, but am sending many to you and your wife. Will send a little Jizo prayer your way.

Dear Dirk and family:
I'm so out of it....I finally got to read this thread, and it was going along so merrily and happily and then everything turned upside down.
Thank you for letting us share both with you: your joy and your sorrow.
